SERVING OUR COMMUNITY SINCE 2000

T.A.N.G.O. is here to provide resources and support for our community. We are: Together As Neighbours Giving Out, serving and helping those in need by building trust and fellowship, mirroring Christian values.

We offer a wide variety of affordable furniture, clothing, household goods and much more. Our community cafe serves affordable food and drinks in a friendly inclusive space.

The Scriptural basis of T.A.N.G.O.is to be found in the book of Isaiah Chapter 58, for example as in ‘The Message’ version:

Our Projects

Open to all, we have various ways we can offer help. Our prices are low and we accept vouchers from St Helens Council and Torus Housing for essential homeware. We are a charity serving the local community.

Community CAFE

Our cafe is a lively community hub and we offer a warm welcome to all. We serve cooked breakfasts in the morning and a varied lunch menu in the afternoon, from toasties or homemade soup to daily specials such as lasagne or chicken curry. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements and we will do our best to help.

We hold a ‘Golden Oldies’ lunch on Wednesdays at 12 noon where you can enjoy lunch with the friendly group. Whether you choose to come in for a brew and a natter, lunch with the kids or want a place to have some time alone with a book, we are here for you.

WAREHOUSE

Our large warehouse stocks a wide variety of items. We rely on kind donations to our charity therefore the stock changes all the time. We regularly stock items such as beds, table and chair sets, televisions, stock pots and wardrobes. You will find an array of homeware such as plates, cups, glassware, cutlery and bowls. For the kids we have a selection of toys, games and books. There is a selection of vinyl, CDs, DVDs and books too. Come and have a look around, you never know what you will find!

SHOP

Our shop within the warehouse stocks men’s, women’s and kids’ clothing, shoes and accessories. You will find a selection of jewellery and underwear near the counter and baskets of baby grows, bibs and hats. There is a range of bedding, cushions, curtains and even pictures available.We are happy to offer FREE local school uniform to those who need it along with some school shoes and PE kit. We rely on kind donations so stock stock varies week to week. Come and have a look around and expect a friendly welcome.

ABOUT T.A.N.G.O.

The aim of T.A.N.G.O. is to reach out, serve and help those in need in the community and is a major part of the outreach strategy of St Marks Church in reaching the Haydock community. We are passionate about people knowing Jesus, loving each other, and caring for our community.

St Mark's Food Pantry

For a small weekly subscription of £5, members of this pantry will be able to have access to food including fresh fruit and vegetables and store cupboard favourites that will often value £15-25. Membership is open to the community and local families are strongly encouraged to join.
